The Aspen Institute regards the health and safety of its staff and participants as our highest priority and is committed to doing its part to end the COVID-19 pandemic. Below is an explanation of our standard health and safety measures that we are taking and expecting for our events attendees, that are needed to minimize the risk of transmission or spread of COVID-19 and related variants.
We strongly encourage all those who attend Aspen Institute events to be up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccinations, as defined by the CDC. Masks are welcome but not required. If you need a mask, we can provide one to you.
Please note that the above protocols are subject to change, based on revised guidance from the CDC as the pandemic evolves, and/or from the local jurisdiction in which our events are being held.

There will be two schools sharing a bus based on the geographic location of your school to University of New Orleans. Coaches will receive their final bus departure time the week of March 27 via an email from Olivia, and the schedule will be posted in Remind. You will likely be picked up between 8:00-8:30am, and return to the school between 7:30-8:00pm. You can also find your exact bus time linked here.
Please encourage team members to “dress for success”- jeans are appropriate! Teams can elect to wear their school uniforms, or any apparel that they may have designed as part of their solution.
Come with an open mind and be present! Listen to your peers present their solutions and support the hard work that they’ve accomplished over the last 8 weeks. Also, be sure to have fun!
In the unfortunate event that a student team member or coach is unable to attend the event, please alert Olivia Toro (olivia.toro@aspeninstitute.org) and log into this site, www.aspenchallengeneworleans.org to witness the event on the livestream.
